Every milestone achieved by Yadhavi Sports Academy for Special Needs represents far more than a sporting accomplishment. It reflects years of dedication, inclusive coaching, unwavering family support, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to discover their true potential.

One such milestone unfolded at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, where four young swimmers from Yadhavi Sports Academy, accompanied by their parents, received encouragement from the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, and Dr. Mallika Nadda, President of Special Olympics Bharat. The visit was facilitated by the India Autism Center, recognising the young athletes for their extraordinary achievement in completing the historic 60-kilometre international open-water relay swim across the Palk Strait, a feat that earned them recognition from the World Book of Records.

For Yadhavi Sports Academy, this was more than a ceremonial visit. It was a proud moment that reflected the growing national recognition of inclusive sports and the remarkable achievements of children with autism.

The young athletes honoured during the visit were Master Meka Sri Ashvath, Master Thanvesh Navin, Master Gunturu Lav, and Master Gunturu Kush. Together, they completed the demanding 60-kilometre two-way relay swim between Dhanushkodi, India, and Talaimannar, Sri Lanka, in 24 continuous hours, overcoming challenging sea conditions through months of disciplined training, determination, and teamwork.

Their achievement has become a defining moment not only for Yadhavi Sports Academy but also for the broader movement promoting autism awareness and inclusive sports across India. It demonstrates that when children receive the right guidance, structured opportunities, and unwavering encouragement, they can accomplish extraordinary goals that inspire an entire nation.

The recognition at Rashtrapati Bhavan also celebrated the families who have stood beside these young athletes throughout their journey. Every early morning practice, every training session, every challenge overcome, and every milestone achieved has been made possible through the combined efforts of dedicated parents, experienced coaches, and a supportive community that believed in their children’s potential.

At the heart of this journey is Yadhavi Sports Academy for Special Needs, founded by Mr. Sathish Sivakumar, Founder and Head Coach. Through a unique approach that combines inclusive sports training with life-skill development, the academy has created an environment where children with special needs are encouraged to build confidence, resilience, discipline, and independence.

Over the years, Yadhavi has consistently demonstrated that sport can be a powerful catalyst for transformation. From nurturing young swimmers to representing India in national and international competitions, the academy has continued to create opportunities that extend far beyond medals and records. Every achievement strengthens its mission of empowering children through structured coaching, meaningful participation, and a culture that celebrates ability over limitation.

Receiving encouragement from the Hon’ble Vice President of India and Dr. Mallika Nadda carries profound significance. It represents national recognition not only for an exceptional sporting achievement but also for the values that Yadhavi has championed since its inception—equality, inclusion, perseverance, and the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to excel.

For the young swimmers, this moment will remain a cherished memory. For their families, it is a proud acknowledgement of years of commitment and belief. For Yadhavi Sports Academy, it serves as a powerful reminder that the impact of inclusive sports extends far beyond the playing field, inspiring communities and reshaping perceptions about what children with autism can achieve.

As Yadhavi continues its journey, moments like these reinforce its vision of building a future where every child is empowered to dream without limits and supported to achieve those dreams through opportunity, dedication, and compassionate coaching.

The recognition at Rashtrapati Bhavan is not simply a celebration of four remarkable young swimmers. It is a celebration of every child who dares to dream, every parent who chooses hope, every coach who believes in possibility, and every step towards a more inclusive India.

For Yadhavi Sports Academy, this proud moment is another milestone in an ongoing journey—one that continues to transform lives, inspire communities, and prove that ability has no boundaries when opportunity leads the way.
